Sami O. Khan, MD, attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and received his medical degree in 2001. Furthermore, he conducted his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at The New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York, New York (2001-2006). In addition, he completed his fellowship training in sports medicine at the Mississippi Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi (2006-2007). During his training, he served as Associate Team Physician for New York Mets MLB (2003-2004), Associate Physician for Alvin Ailey Dance Theater New York (2004), and Team Physician for Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (2006-2007). In addition, Dr. Khan received board certification in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports surgery from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He remains an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine.
